The End Result...Bachelor #2 is a wonderful man. He is so sweet to me. And it turns out that we have a lot of things in common. He loves to play cribbage which is my favorite card game, we like similar movies, like to play games and do puzzles. He loves to go to the theater, so we're going to see an Agatha Christie play this weekend and going to his friend's birthday party. I'm even comfortable with him, which is really nice. I'm not easily comfortable around men. You know what else is really great about him? He fully believes in communication. He tells me what he's thinking, how he feels about me, what his plans are and makes plans with me. We've talked for hours on end. It's wonderful and yet odd because I've never dated someone like him before. It's refreshing. :)
I've met his kids too. They are wonderful and a lot of fun. They're teens- 19, 18, and twin 13s (all boys). They are great kids... although they could be robots. The twins rinsed their plates, put them in the dishwasher AND took out the garbage, all without shouting or whining... pretty amazing I thought. My sister's a good kid and I think she even fusses more than they did. Hence the reason they may be robots. ;) Ok, just kidding, but I was seriously impressed. They've warmed up to me too and that's a good feeling. Yesterday was only the second time I'd seen them and I got hugs from 3 of the 4 of them. :)
So I've got a fantastic man in my life, who treats me like gold which I'm not at all used to. He cares a lot for me and is just really sweet. He's got good kids and a nice place. I'm lucky. :)
Oh, and one other thing that just floored me to hear... I just found out that he liked me for a year before he asked me out! :O He says that he wasn't ready to date... which I totally understand. But wow... a year!! *blush*
